Are you ready to learn how to teach your how to behave? This class focuses on basic obedience training. As long as your dog has had the proper shots, they can join this class at any age. If you desire to learn effective skills on how to fine-tune your leadership, this class is for you. Your dog will learn foundational skills to set the stage for becoming a well-trained dog. With this course, you and your dog will not only learn fundamental commands, but also play games and have fun while building a relationship with your dog. Your trainer will help you reach a healthy and happy relationship with your dog. No previous experience with training required.
Class meets for four weeks, one hour a week. Curriculum includes commands such as sit, stay, lay down, drop it, potty training, come when called, and more.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be spayed/neutered, dewormed within the last 12 months and up to date with vaccinations.
After you and your dog complete the basic training class, this is the second class in obedience training. It will introduce more difficult commands as it builds on the foundational skills your dog has previously learned. Your dog will be taught proper manners. With fun games and activities as a part of the course, you and your dog will develop a relationship of mutual respect.
Course meets for four weeks, one hour a week. Curriculum includes commands such as ‘down’, ‘stay’ for guests entering, ‘stop’, ‘heel’, ‘wait’ for meals, socializing with strangers, safe greetings, ‘sit’ at curbs, and more.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be dewormed within the last 12 months, spayed or neutered, and up to date with vaccinations.
Do you have kitten that is one to three months old that’s ready to learn the basics of training? They must be within this age range because it is a critical period when they learn socialization skills, build confidence and good manners the best. In this course, kittens will learn to sit, come, jump up and walk on a leash. They will also learn to enjoy and tolerate nail trims, interacting with people, dogs and other pets, rough handling, car rides and taking pills and injections.
Cost: $80 for four sessions, extra kittens $5 per kitten
Jessica has been a trainer since she was young and has received training accreditation form Petco and Petsmart. She has a degree in Animal Science – Pre-Veterinary from Cal Poly Pomona and spent a year starting Adopt and Shop, a successful non-profit rescue organization.
